As 5G goes live, you may start experiencing some issues with your mobile platform. One of the options that ensures a seamless connection to voice and data is VoLTE. See an explanation of VoLTE here. Some users have reported dropped calls or not being able to connect to 5g or 4g in some cases despite using a LTE or 5G capable phone.
If you are only getting 2g or the “H” symbol on your phone, you want to go to settings, ensure that your preferred network type is set to the highest setting (4g/5g) and ensure that the VoLTE is turned on. That will fix an issue where your calls may sometimes not connect or be dropped. It will also fix the issue of you seeing just the “H” next to reception.
