Windows 10 Backgrounds-Nice but not so nice…

If you are using windows ten, then you no doubt have welcomed the beautiful designs and pictures on the logging screen that frequently changes. Microsoft has even gotten a little smarter by making it interactive. You could choose to like the background picture, and Microsoft says that they will show you more like it, or you could choose not to like it-and you will see less accordingly. Someone is walking in the footsteps of Google, but the shoes may be a little big…

The  problem is nobody told Microsoft that users do not want to continue teaching the machine for infinity. If these were programmers who worked for Google, then after a few likes-or not likes-the program would have automatically learned what you like and show you more of that type. I mean c’mon-it’s not rocket science. Jeez…

Unfortunately, Microsoft is no Google. After liking some types of photos for months-and not liking others, I am still bombarded with different images that someone a little weirder than I am might like. Those art paintings for example, that everyone else can make out what it is except me. Or a picture of a sculpture that may or may not cost millions, but your wife/girlfriend would have made you throw out-or choose between you and it. To be honest I am even a little embarrassed when I open my laptop at the airport and there is an ugly picture right there on my logging screen. Like right there. Large. On the entire screen. Who wants to see an ugly picture every time they open their computer? How many times do I actually have to say I do not like this type of picture before I only see the ones I like? Huh Microsoft??

This is a serious question. What the heck is this??

I do like when they show the awesome pictures of the beach and nice fall backgrounds and yada yada (If that’s how you spell yada). So to be fair, Microsoft seemed to have gotten some things right with Windows Ten. The new background feature on the logging screen is one of them. But like that farmer’s cow that gives the farmer that nice quart of warm milk before kicking it over with its idle foot, Microsoft ruined it with the endless pestering of whether I like it or not. I just want the machine to ask me what I like, learn that I like it, and then not bother me anymore. Is that too much to ask Microsoft? Patiently waiting on an operating system that is not cloud based and made by a company that starts with G, has two O’s in it, and ends with an E. Hint Hint. Who is with me???
